Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Flemington, NJ

Support critical healthcare delivery as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will provide essential technical support to the Department of Pharmaceutical Services. Your primary responsibilities include labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products to diverse patient populations, ranging from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell systems for medication management.
• Assist pharmacists in sterile compounding and IV preparation.
• Maintain strict adherence to labeling and packaging protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in weekend rotations and adjust to variable afternoon shifts based on departmental needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain it promptly.
• National certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation.
• Sterile Compounding/IV certification preferred.

Location Details:

• Based in Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City.
• Full-time, permanent/direct hire position offering a consistent schedule with some flexibility to meet department needs.
