Retail Pharmacy Technician - Garland, TX

A Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in a professional, high-volume retail environment specializing in behavioral health medications. This contract-to-hire position is located at a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital setting. The pharmacy operates efficiently with an average script count of 350-400 prescriptions per day and supports both walk-in clinic needs and outbound prescription fulfillment.

The pharmacy utilizes Enterprise RX software, and training will be provided. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a fast-paced setting that demands reliability and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and dispense behavioral health prescriptions
• Use Enterprise RX software to manage prescription data effectively
• Support pharmacy operations within the closed-door facility, collaborating with pharmacists and clinical staff
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and state regulations
• Assist in maintaining efficient pharmacy workflow and high volume prescription fulfillment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician license valid in Texas (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent retail pharmacy technician experience, 2+ years preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong reliability and professionalism are critical due to previous behavioral challenges experienced with staff
• Willingness to participate in a multi-step interview process, including virtual and on-site meetings
