Retail Pharmacy Technician | Glendale, Arizona

This opportunity is for a Retail Pharmacy Technician role based in Glendale, AZ, with a contract-to-hire arrangement spanning 13 weeks. The position operates primarily during first shift hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, offering a consistent schedule for work-life balance.

• Accurately perform data entry tasks related to prescriptions and patient information
• Communicate effectively with patients and physician offices to verify prescriptions and resolve issues
• Fill and dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring verification of patient allergies before dispensing
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational protocols
• Deliver exceptional customer service to support patient satisfaction

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active Pharmacy Technician license valid in the state of Arizona
• A minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy technician experience demonstrating competency in a fast-paced pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems, ideally Pioneer Rx, although training may be provided for the right candidate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and provider interaction

Work Environment:

• The pharmacy team consists of 1 Registered Pharmacist (RPh), 1 clean room technician, and 1 retail technician
• Script volume is low, averaging fewer than 100 prescriptions per day, allowing for detailed attention to each order
