Mail Order Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician in Grand Prairie, TX
This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply pharmacy technician skills within a fast-paced, long-term care (LTC) mail-order environment. Working the second shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, this 8-week contract-to-hire role allows candidates to support pharmacists by filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and managing inventory following strict standards and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions accurately for pharmacist verification under direct supervision.
- Prepare IV admixtures and assist in sterile compounding processes.
- Operate and learn complex automated dispensing systems efficiently.
- Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data ensuring timely reimbursement.
- Prepackage medication for dispensing while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assist pharmacists in final prescription checks and coordinate medication packaging and delivery.
- Support inventory management by receiving, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with equipment calibration and safety checks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Texas Pharmacy Technician License required.
- National certification such as PTCB or NHA preferred.
- IV certification is a strong advantage.
- Experience in sterile compounding is highly desirable.
- Dependable with punctual attendance and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
- Capable of working under supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

- Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm 12:00 am
