Hospital Pediatric Pharmacy Tech - Hayward, California
This opportunity is for experienced Pharmacy Technicians specializing in hospital and pediatric pharmacy settings. You will support a 300-bed childrens hospital known for its excellent care and advanced health system, utilizing EPIC software throughout pharmacy operations.
Location: Palo Alto, CA (near Hayward)
Job Type: Contract (~6 months)
Shift: Late 2nd shift, starting around 4 PM and working through 12 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications for pediatric patients within a hospital setting
- Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe medication use
- Utilize EPIC software for order entry, verification, and inventory management
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Assist in managing medication stocks and expiration dates
Desired Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician license with hospital pharmacy experience
- Previous experience in pediatric pharmacy preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work the designated late second-shift hours reliably
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
