Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions following company policies and state regulations.
• Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Label and package medications properly.
• Identify and manage medication-related incidents with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain sterile conditions by cleaning pharmacy work surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect and report any malfunctions in pharmacy equipment.
• Keep detailed temperature logs and cleaning records for compliance.
• Support general pharmacy organization and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
• IV Certification for sterile compounding is required.
