Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Holloman Air Force Base, NM

A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a medical facility in Alamogordo, NM, near Holloman Air Force Base. This role is ideal for licensed Pharmacy Technicians in New Mexico who are eager to gain experience in an inpatient hospital setting. New pharmacy technicians with no inpatient experience are encouraged to apply, as prior experience in any pharmacy setting is welcomed but not mandatory.

The inpatient pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with weekend coverage on a rotating schedule (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), working every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in an inpatient hospital environment
• Assist with inventory management and medication stock replenishment
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and licensing requirements
• Provide excellent support to inpatient pharmacy operations during scheduled hours

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in New Mexico (required)
• No inpatient experience necessary, though prior pharmacy practice experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule including every third weekend
