Long Term Care Mail Order Pharmacy Technician in Horsham, PA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a long-term care (LTC) mail order pharmacy environment. This role offers a 6-week contract with potential for hire, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to input data for prescription fulfillment and secure reimbursement payments.
• Operate under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications in compliance with standards and government regulations.
• Assist the Pharmacist in the final verification of prescriptions, including preparing medications for review and handling post-verification packaging and delivery coordination.
• Support Pharmacy Management in inventory control by receiving and rotating medications and supplies, recording lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventories.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is required.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Possession of a Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license is a plus, though not mandatory.
