LTC Mail Order Pharmacy Technician | Horsham, Pennsylvania

A Pharmacy Technician position is available for a 2nd shift role (3:00 pm 11:30 pm) in a long-term care (LTC) mail order pharmacy environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with pharmacy technician experience looking to contribute to prescription fulfillment and medication preparation under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data into the system and assist with reimbursement processes.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing in compliance with regulatory standards and government requirements, under pharmacist supervision.
• Support the Pharmacist in the final checking of prescriptions, including stating medications for final review and assisting with packaging and timely delivery.
• Assist Pharmacy Management by maintaining inventory practices such as receiving and rotating medication stock, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and helping with physical inventory counts.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy settings is a plus.
• Possession of a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
• Rotating weekend shifts as required.
