Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician in Houston, TX

Support specialized medication therapy as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. With two positions available for a 13-week contract, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing compounded medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.

Schedule: One shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM One shift from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Responsibilities: Accurately compound, prepare, and dispense medications and supplies under pharmacist supervision Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify proper dosages Label and package sterile and non-sterile medications correctly Assist in identifying, documenting, and reporting any medication-related incidents Maintain cleanliness and sanitize pharmacy work areas and laminar flow hoods Inspect equipment regularly and report any malfunction or defect Record pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning schedules Support overall pharmacy organization and regulatory compliance efforts

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Intravenous (IV) Certification for sterile compounding
