Pharmacy Technician - Healthcare Provider Specialist (Houston, TX)

RPh on the Go is hiring a Provider Service Specialist for a 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity in Houston, Texas. 

This is not a traditional Pharmacy Technician position. This is a specialized healthcare compliance role focused on provider credentialing, prescriber verification, licensure, and regulatory compliance. 

Shift: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM

What Youll Do

• Verify physician and prescriber licenses, credentials, DEA registration, and prescribing authority
• Maintain accurate provider credentialing and onboarding records
• Monitor federal and state prescribing requirements, including telehealth regulations
• Track license, registration, and credential expiration dates
• Work directly with prescribers and their staff to resolve missing or inaccurate documentation
• Support compliance reporting and maintain accurate provider data

Requirements

• 13 years of direct prescriber verification/credentialing experience
• Experience verifying provider licensure, credentials, DEA registration, and regulatory compliance
• 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of DEA, HIPAA, state Board of Pharmacy, and applicable prescribing regulations
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB or NHA certification preferred
• Candidates with strong credentialing/prescriber verification experience may be considered without an active technician license but must begin the Pharmacy Technician Trainee application process upon hire
• Billing or insurance verification experience alone will not qualify
