This role focuses on pharmacy technician duties within a specialty infusion pharmacy setting in Orange County. Candidates will engage in hands-on preparation and processing of medications, particularly in home infusion and hospital pharmacy environments. This contract position offers a potential temp-to-hire opportunity with a 13-week duration, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
  • Type prescription labels and process medication refills.
  • Submit billing claims and authorization requests promptly.
  • Label and package injectable, oral, and topical medications according to patient orders.
  • Prepare and coordinate shipment documentation, confirming deliveries with patients.
  • Reconcile medication shipments against packing slips and unpack inventory.
  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of the IV room following USP <797> and company procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through multiple communication channels.
  • Support the 340B program integrity and perform additional pharmacy operations duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with IV medication preparation and handling.
  • Local candidates preferred for ease of commute.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, daytime shifts.
