Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician - Irving, Texas

A pharmacy technician position is available on the second shift (3:30 pm 12:00 am) within a fast-paced long-term care (LTC) mail-order environment. This opportunity offers an eight-week contract with the potential to transition into a direct hire role.

Responsibilities include accurately filling prescriptions for pharmacist verification, supporting pharmacists in a high-volume setting, and mastering a complex automated dispensing system. The technician will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performing tasks such as filling prescriptions, preparing IV medications, prepackaging medications according to standards and government regulations, and assisting in final prescription checks. Additional duties involve data entry in coordination with the Billing Supervisor to ensure proper reimbursement, maintaining inventory control (including receiving, rotating stock, and posting lot numbers/expiration dates), and contributing to a safe and clean work environment by checking equipment calibration and cleanliness.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas pharmacy license
• PTCB or NHA national pharmacy technician certification
• Sterile compounding experience is a plus
• IV Certification preferred
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am
