Pharmacy Technician - Kennett Square, PA

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire assignment in Kennett Square, PA. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP standards and pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to USP guidelines and compounding standards through ongoing training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications following established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in preparing formula log sheets and maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Precisely measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications.
• Manage inventory, maintaining adequate supplies of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Support batch compounding processes, product labeling, and verification of log entries.
• Ensure timely fulfillment and preparation of compounded prescriptions for shipment or patient pickup.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all compounded products and related activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proven sterile compounding experience is required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Pennsylvania is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
