Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Lawrenceville, GA
A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician within an outpatient oncology infusion center. This role involves supporting the administration of chemotherapy and select hematology treatments at a dedicated cancer specialist infusion site in Canton, GA.
Location:
- Canton, GA (Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the site)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Contract duration:
- Approximately 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with chemotherapy and hematology infusion treatments
- Handle implanted port access procedures with proficiency
- Utilize IV start skills as part of patient care processes
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy and clinical teams in an outpatient oncology department
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and treatment protocols
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology/infusion pharmacy settings
- Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
- Certification in chemotherapy preparation and handling (Chemo Cert)
- Strong knowledge of inpatient oncology pharmacy practices
- Experience working in infusion centers administering chemotherapy and related treatments
