Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Lawrenceville, GA

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician within an outpatient oncology infusion center. This role involves supporting the administration of chemotherapy and select hematology treatments at a dedicated cancer specialist infusion site in Canton, GA.

Location:

• Canton, GA (Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the site)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Contract duration:

• Approximately 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist with chemotherapy and hematology infusion treatments
• Handle implanted port access procedures with proficiency
• Utilize IV start skills as part of patient care processes
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy and clinical teams in an outpatient oncology department
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and treatment protocols

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology/infusion pharmacy settings
• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
• Certification in chemotherapy preparation and handling (Chemo Cert)
• Strong knowledge of inpatient oncology pharmacy practices
• Experience working in infusion centers administering chemotherapy and related treatments
