Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician - Levittown, Pennsylvania

A pharmacy technician role is available in a long-term care mail order environment, offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute to patient care and medication management. This contract-to-hire position is scheduled for 4 weeks with a Monday through Friday day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to input prescription data into computer systems for billing and reimbursement purposes.
• Assist in prepackaging medication following established standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the pharmacist in the final verification and packaging of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy before dispensing.
• Help maintain inventory controls by receiving, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Participate in physical inventory counts as needed to support pharmacy operations.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
• Familiarity with long-term care pharmacy practices is a plus.
• Possession of a Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
