Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician | Levittown, Pennsylvania
An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care (LTC) and mail order pharmacy operations during the second shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM). This role is based in Levittown, PA, and offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with a six-week initial commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications in compliance with established standards and governmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data into the computer system and assist with reimbursement processes.
- Operate under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications for dispensing.
- Support final prescription checks by assisting the Pharmacist, including labeling and packaging medications for delivery.
- Aid Pharmacy Management in maintaining inventory integrity by receiving, rotating, and documenting medications, including posting lot numbers and expiration dates.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure timely, accurate distribution to customers.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Rotating weekends as required
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is essential.
- Familiarity with long-term care pharmacy processes is highly preferred.
- Possession of a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is a plus but not mandatory.
