Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Marietta, GA
This opportunity is for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with oncology and infusion experience to support an outpatient oncology infusion center specializing in chemotherapy treatments. The role is based in Canton, GA, and requires handling chemotherapy administration and hematology treatments within a hospital inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and related hematology treatments under supervision.
- Access implanted ports and perform IV starts with strong adherence to safety and sterility protocols.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure accurate medication dispensing in an infusion center environment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication preparation and administration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience specifically in oncology and infusion.
- Valid Georgia State Pharmacy Technician license is required.
- Certification in chemotherapy preparation and handling.
- Proven ability to perform IV starts and access implanted ports.
- Experience working in outpatient oncology infusion centers preferred.
Schedule and Location:
- 13-week contract assignment.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift.
- Position is located in Canton, GA.
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the location are not eligible to apply.
