Pharmacy Tech - Mckinney, Texas

A behavioral health clinic near Hwy 75 and Legacy in Plano, TX, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This role requires efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting, supporting both clinical operations and patient care.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8 AM to 5 PM with 1-hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Perform data entry related to prescription processing
• Answer patient phone calls with professionalism and empathy
• Manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Provide prior authorization support to facilitate patient access to medications
• Deliver excellent customer service, especially in a behavioral health context

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment (e.g., Walmart, CVS, Walgreens)
• Active and clear Texas Pharmacy Technician license
• National certification from PTCB or NHA required
• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy toward behavioral health patients
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are highly desirable
