Retail Pharmacy Technician - Mckinney, TX

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Pharmacy Technician with retail experience to work in a unique, closed-door pharmacy setting focused exclusively on behavioral health medications. The pharmacy operates within a behavioral health hospital environment, supporting medication needs through an efficient, high-volume workflow.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Type:

• Full-Time
• Contract-to-Hire, starting November 23rd (13+ weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense behavioral health medications accurately and efficiently
• Support pharmacy operations within a closed-door, hospital-embedded pharmacy
• Manage a daily script count of 350-400 prescriptions
• Work collaboratively with a small team consisting of 1 pharmacist and 2-3 pharmacy technicians
• Maintain reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment, addressing unique behavioral health pharmacy needs
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided) to process prescriptions

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
• Minimum of 1+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience; 2+ years preferred
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong attention to detail and reliability are critical due to past behavioral challenges in the team environment
• Ability to work efficiently without administering vaccines, focusing solely on behavioral health medications
