Pharmacy Technician - Media, Pennsylvania

Support sterile compounding operations at a specialty pharmacy with precision and compliance. This role involves preparing and compounding medications under pharmacist supervision in adherence to USP standards and other regulatory guidelines. Your expertise ensures the safe and accurate delivery of compounded prescriptions.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with USP and related guidelines in sterile and non-sterile compounding through ongoing training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions and enter orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare compounded medications based on established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of formula log sheets and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications precisely.
• Maintain inventory levels for ingredients, equipment, and PPE.
• Participate in batch compounding, product labeling, and verification of log entries.
• Ensure timely preparation and fulfillment of compounded prescriptions for shipping or patient pickup.
• Maintain thorough records of all compounded products and document work accurately.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proven experience in sterile compounding is required.
• Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license.
