Pharmacy Technician - Media, Pennsylvania

A specialty compounding pharmacy seeks a skilled Pharmacy Technician with expertise in sterile compounding to support medication preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a chance to contribute to precision-driven pharmacy operations in Kennett Square, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to USP and other regulatory guidelines while performing non-sterile and sterile compounding.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions; enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare compounded medications by measuring, mixing, packaging, and labeling under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in creating formula log sheets and maintain thorough documentation to support compliance.
• Manage inventory to ensure sufficient stock of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support batch compounding activities, label products, and verify documentation entries.
• Ensure compounded prescriptions are prepared and fulfilled promptly for shipping or patient pickup.
• Maintain accurate records for all compounded products and document all work performed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Demonstrated sterile compounding experience is required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Pennsylvania is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, with two possible shift options:
  • 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
