Mail Order Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician in Medina, OH

This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role as a Pharmacy Technician in a long-term care and mail order setting. The position features a mid-shift schedule, working Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, with every other Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm, spanning a 13-week contract duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions, prepare non-sterile compounds, and assist in IV preparation under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medications following strict standards and government regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
• Support Pharmacists with the final accuracy check of filled prescriptions, including medication verification and packaging coordination.
• Assist with inventory management by receiving and rotating medications, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and supporting physical inventory counts.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-calibrated work environment, including equipment safety checks.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy and mail order settings is highly preferred.
• IV compounding skills are a plus, enhancing your capability to support complex medication preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures under supervision.
