Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Middleton, WI

An inpatient hospital pharmacy technician opportunity is available for a 13-week contract in Middleton, WI, specializing in sterile compounding and medication management using Pyxis automation. The role involves critical responsibilities essential to maintaining a safe and efficient pharmacy environment within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include restocking Pyxis cabinets, checking and managing outdated medications, ordering and receiving drug shipments, entering charges, monitoring medication storage temperatures, and preparing sterile products including chemotherapy. Additional duties involve daily cleanroom cleaning and adherence to all safety and compliance protocols in medication preparation.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Shifts of 8 or 10 hours
• Every 4th weekend, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency in sterile compounding practices
• Experience with Pyxis automation systems
