Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Milwaukee, WI

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a background in inpatient hospital settings, looking to contribute to a dynamic pharmacy team. The role involves working in an inpatient hospital environment utilizing Pyxis automation, supporting critical pharmacy operations over a 13-week contract.

Location: Richland Center, WI
Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Environment: Inpatient Hospital
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (8 or 10-hour shifts)
• Every 4th weekend, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Restocking Pyxis units and performing outdate checks to maintain medication safety
• Restocking medications, intravenous (IV) products, and pharmacy supplies
• Preparing sterile products including chemotherapy medications within the cleanroom
• Entering charge information accurately and managing drug shipment orders and receipts
• Monitoring storage temperatures for compliance and maintaining cleanroom hygiene through daily cleaning
• Performing additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, with a solid understanding of hospital pharmacy workflows
• Demonstrated experience in sterile compounding, including chemotherapy preparation
• Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing systems
