Pharmacy Technician in New Rochelle, NY
A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in production within a closed-door long-term care facility in New Rochelle, NY. This role offers a valuable chance to contribute to the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications in a supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose formats for timely delivery to residents.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while ensuring proper storage conditions and monitoring expiration dates.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Rotating weekends
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience in a production or related setting.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with pharmacy software is a plus; training on Frameworks system will be provided.
