Outpatient Pharmacy Technician - Norristown, PA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in outpatient and retail pharmacy settings. This role emphasizes high-volume workflow management and supports pharmacy operations in a central fill environment. The position offers a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, ensuring consistent work hours.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• First shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Each shift is 8.5 hours

Responsibilities:

• Manage prescription refills efficiently in a high-volume outpatient and retail pharmacy setting.
• Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations including preparation and verification of medications.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with pharmacy standards and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and communication with healthcare providers.
• Support central fill pharmacy processes to optimize workflow.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician in a high-volume setting.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or PTCB certification is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

• Salary range: $15 to $17 per hour depending on experience.

Contract Details:
