Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician - Norristown, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is suited for a Pharmacy Technician experienced in long-term care and mail order pharmacy environments. The position involves a 4-week contract with the potential to convert to a direct hire role. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications accurately.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing.
• Operate under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assisting in prepackaging medications following government regulations and quality standards.
• Support the Pharmacist by checking filled prescriptions, confirming medication accuracy, packaging, and coordinating timely delivery to customers.
• Aid Pharmacy Management in inventory control, including receiving medications, rotating stock, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and participating in physical inventory audits.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
• Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
• Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is a plus but not mandatory.
