Mail Order Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician - Norristown, PA

A pharmacy technician role is available in a long-term care (LTC) mail order environment located in Norristown, PA. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends, on a 6-week contract-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications accurately.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to input data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications following standards and government regulations.
• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checking, including stating medications for review, packaging, and coordinating timely delivery to customers.
• Support Pharmacy Management by maintaining inventory practices such as receiving and rotating medications, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience is required.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy is advantageous.
• Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license is preferred but not mandatory.
