Inpatient Pharmacy Technician | Oakland, California

This opportunity is for Pharmacy Technicians in an inpatient hospital setting, supporting a busy Level I trauma center. The position offers the chance to work within a reputable county hospital environment known for high patient volume and fast-paced operations.

Location: Oakland, CA (close to San Francisco)
Job Type: Contract, Registry Role
Schedule:

• Shifts of 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break
• Start times available at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm
• Availability to work approximately 3-4 days per week, averaging 24 hours/week, with some weeks exceeding 40 hours

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute medications within an inpatient hospital setting
• Utilize pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication management
• Support the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery for a busy trauma center
• Assist with IV medication preparation and verification when necessary
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards for pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with hospital inpatient experience preferred
• Experience working with IV medications strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC and Omnicell systems is an asset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume trauma center environment
• Flexibility to cover various shifts throughout the day
