Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Oshkosh, WI

Provide critical support in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting with a focus on medication safety, inventory management, and sterile compounding. This role involves working within a 13-week contract to ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy services using Pyxis automation technology.

Location: Richland Center, WI
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• 8 or 10 hour shifts
• Every 4th weekend, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Restock Pyxis medication dispensing units and perform regular outdate checks
• Restock medications, IVs, and supplies throughout the inpatient pharmacy
• Prepare sterile products including chemotherapy treatments and maintain cleanroom standards
• Enter charges accurately into the system
• Order, receive, and verify drug shipments to maintain inventory levels
• Monitor and document medication storage temperatures to ensure compliance
• Perform daily cleaning duties within the cleanroom environment
• Assist with additional pharmacy tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Skilled in sterile compounding, especially chemotherapy prep
• Proficient with Pyxis automation systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
