Hospital Pharmacy Technician in Oxnard, CA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a 250-bed inpatient hospital setting in Ventura County. This long-term contract position requires a motivated professional to perform critical pharmacy duties in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols
• Restocking automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis units) to ensure medication availability throughout the facility
• Managing incoming pharmacy-related calls effectively, providing timely assistance and information
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to maintain smooth pharmacy operations supporting inpatient care

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A valid California Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience or training in IV preparation and sterile compounding; new graduates are encouraged provided they have some exposure to IV techniques
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including variable day and afternoon shifts and every other weekend coverage

• Variable days and afternoons
• Every other weekend
