Pediatric Hospital Pharmacy Technician in Palo Alto, CA

This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Pharmacy Technician in a premier childrens hospital located in Palo Alto, CA. The position supports a 300-bed pediatric hospital renowned for delivering exceptional care in Northern California. You will thrive in a dynamic environment utilizing EPIC software, contributing to critical medication preparation and dispensing for pediatric patients.

Schedule and Location:

• Late 2nd shift starting around 4 PM to 1 or 2 AM
• Palo Alto, CA
• Approximately a 6-month assignment
• Preference for local candidates to enhance team cohesion and responsiveness

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Support pediatric pharmacy operations ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and healthcare teams to meet patient needs
• Utilize EPIC software for medication verification and record-keeping

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in hospital pharmacy settings, preferably pediatrics
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar pharmacy software systems
• Ability to manage duties independently during late second shift hours
