IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Pharmacy Technician | Parma, Michigan

This role is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician experienced in hospital inpatient settings with specialized skills in sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation. The position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with a reputable healthcare facility, allowing you to showcase your expertise while working in a dynamic hospital environment.

Location: Parma, MI
Employment Type: Contract to Direct Hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, rotating shifts starting at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:30 AM (8-hour shifts)
• Second shift begins at 2:30 PM
• Rotating weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile intravenous admixtures accurately and safely
• Fill Pyxis medication dispensing machines and ensure timely delivery of medications to hospital floors
• Conduct nursing unit inspections to maintain compliance with hospital protocols
• Utilize Cerner for charting and medication management
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy and nursing staff to support inpatient medication needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) national certification required
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Hands-on expertise in IV sterile compounding
• Experience with Pyxis medication management system and Cerner software
