Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician in Pasadena, TX

This opportunity seeks experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians for two contract roles in Pasadena, TX. These 13-week assignments involve assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, with an emphasis on sterile compounding and home infusion techniques.

Work schedules are as follows:

• One position: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• One position: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound, prepare, and process medications accurately following company policies and state regulations.
• Assist pharmacists in medication dispensing and supply preparation.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages.
• Properly label and package medications for distribution.
• Participate in medication-related incident identification and reporting.
• Clean and sanitize pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods to ensure sterile conditions.
• Inspect and maintain pharmacy equipment, documenting any malfunctions.
• Maintain temperature logs and cleaning records to comply with regulatory standards.
• Support general pharmacy organization and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license valid in Texas.
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV Certification is required.
