Pharmacy Technician in Penfield, NY

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician in the Rochester, NY area. This role supports pharmacy operations by performing technical and clerical duties under pharmacist supervision, ensuring safe and accurate preparation and delivery of prescriptions.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, label, package, and stage prescriptions accurately
• Process prescription batches, enter data, and generate labels, pick lists, and shipping documents using the CareTend system
• Coordinate with intake, billing, and field teams to verify insurance authorizations and facilitate accurate prescription delivery
• Manage inventory including drug and supply deliveries, returns, and outbound shipments
• Perform quality assurance tasks while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education initiatives

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid New York Pharmacy Technician License mandatory; PTCB certification preferred
• Minimum two years experience in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and protecting patient confidentiality
