Outpatient Pharmacy Technician - Philadelphia, PA

A full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician position is available, supporting a high-volume pharmacy setting with a focus on outpatient hospital pharmacy services. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service within a fast-paced retail environment.

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Monday through Friday
• 8.5 hours per shift
• No weekends or on-call requirements

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision in a retail pharmacy setting
• Manage high volume prescription processing while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Assist customers with prescription drop-off, pick-up, and answering basic medication-related questions
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and certification requirements, including current PA pharmacy technician registration mandates
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in retail or outpatient hospital pharmacy settings
• Current PTCB certification and/or CPhT credential required
• Compliance with Pennsylvania pharmacy technician registration effective since June 28
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
