LTC Mail Order Pharmacy Technician | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This opportunity offers a Pharmacy Technician role within a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order environment, supporting the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications. This position is a contract-to-hire engagement based in Philadelphia, PA, with weekday day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and rotating weekends, extending over approximately six weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to input data into systems for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing.
• Operate under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist in the final verification of filled prescriptions, including medication review, packaging, and coordination for timely customer delivery.
• Support Pharmacy Management by maintaining inventory controls, including receiving medications, rotating stock, documenting lot numbers and expiration dates, and participating in physical inventories.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy settings is highly desirable.
• Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekend shifts required
