Long Term Care Mail Order Pharmacy Technician - Philadelphia, PA

This opportunity offers a dynamic role for a Pharmacy Technician with experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy settings. The position supports the dispensing process while working closely with pharmacists and pharmacy management to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of prescription fulfillment.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Monday through Friday with rotating weekends
  Duration: 6 weeks, contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications accurately.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and assist with reimbursement processes.
• Prepackage medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist in the final verification and packaging of filled prescriptions, ensuring quality before delivery to customers.
• Support inventory control by receiving, rotating stock, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and participating in physical inventory counts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably with a background in Long Term Care (LTC) settings.
• Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations is a strong plus.
• Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision while maintaining compliance with pharmacy protocols.
