IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician | Pittsford, New York
A specialized role is available for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join a regulated pharmacy environment focused on precise medication preparation and patient safety. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, based in Pittsford, NY, on a contract-to-hire basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound sterile medications adhering to strict regulatory standards.
- Fulfill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory control and supply replenishment.
- Maintain meticulous documentation to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance guidelines rigorously.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in good standing is required.
- Proven experience in sterile compounding within a regulated pharmacy.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-focused setting.
- Experience in inventory management and quality assurance processes. Preferred credentials include:
- PTCB Certification.
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training or certification program.
- Background in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or IV pharmacy.
- Experience with sterile admixture preparation and pharmacy compliance standards.
