Pharmacy Technician | Pittsford, New York

A specialized role is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician based in Pittsford, NY, serving the Rochester area. This position offers an opportunity to apply pharmacy technician skills in a home infusion setting, supporting patients with specialized medication needs.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical and clerical pharmacy tasks under pharmacist supervision, including preparing, labeling, packaging, and staging prescriptions.
• Process prescription batches accurately using CareTend system, generating labels, pick lists, and shipping documents.
• Coordinate with intake, billing, and field teams to verify insurance authorization and ensure timely prescription delivery.
• Handle inventory management including receiving and returning drugs and supplies, and managing outbound shipments.
• Conduct quality assurance tasks while maintaining a clean, orderly, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain professional knowledge and standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• New York Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred.
• At least two years of pharmacy technician experience in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
