IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician - Port Clinton, Ohio

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations. This role involves working a 7 on/7 off schedule during the night shift (9 pm 7 am), typically Thursday through Thursday, for a 13-week period with the potential to transition to direct hire status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile compounding and IV admixtures, following hospital and regulatory standards.
• Utilize Meditech for accurate order entry and medication management.
• Operate Pyxis automation systems efficiently to ensure timely medication distribution.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care within the inpatient environment.
• Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• Proven experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Pyxis automation systems.
• Familiarity with Meditech order entry is essential.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 9 pm 7 am, working 7 consecutive days on and 7 days off, typically Thursday to Thursday.
