Retail Pharmacy Technician in Portage, MI
This opportunity seeks a skilled pharmacy technician to support retail pharmacy operations in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The role involves managing prescription processing, assisting pharmacists, and providing excellent patient service on rotating day shifts.

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Environment: Retail Pharmacy
System: Pioneer RX
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
- Rotating start times: 7:30am, 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:30am
- Closed Friday at 6pm
- No weekend hours currently; subject to future scheduling changes
Key Responsibilities:
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently using Pioneer RX system
- Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and customer consultations
- Manage prescription inventory and restock as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Provide exceptional patient service with knowledgeable communication
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license required
- Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy system is a strong advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours within the rotating schedule
