Retail Pharmacy Technician in Portage, MI

This opportunity seeks a skilled pharmacy technician to support retail pharmacy operations in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The role involves managing prescription processing, assisting pharmacists, and providing excellent patient service on rotating day shifts.

Location: Portage, MI
Job Type: Contract to Hire

System: Pioneer RX

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times: 7:30am, 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:30am
• Closed Friday at 6pm
• No weekend hours currently; subject to future scheduling changes

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently using Pioneer RX system
• Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and customer consultations
• Manage prescription inventory and restock as needed
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Provide exceptional patient service with knowledgeable communication

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license required
• Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy system is a strong advantage
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours within the rotating schedule
