Inpatient Pharmacy Technician | Princeton, New Jersey

A full-time pharmacy technician position is available in an inpatient hospital setting, offering a direct hire opportunity with a start date ASAP. This role is based in Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the pharmacy technician will provide essential technical support to the Department of Pharmaceutical Services. Responsibilities include labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products for a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Label and package pharmaceutical products for distribution
• Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation per protocols
• Utilize software systems including Pyxis and Omnicell for medication management
• Participate in weekend rotations and variable afternoon shifts to meet department needs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
• National Certification from PTCB or NHA
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts based on departmental requirements
• Weekend rotation required as scheduled
