Inpatient Pharmacy Technician | Reedsburg, Wisconsin

This opportunity offers a dynamic role as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient hospital setting, supporting critical medication and supply management. The position is a 13-week contract based in Richland Center, WI, involving day shifts Monday through Friday with every fourth weekend rotation. Work hours are primarily 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some 8- or 10-hour shifts and weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities include:

• Restocking medications and supplies using the Pyxis automated system
• Checking for outdated medications and proper inventory management
• Preparing sterile products, including chemotherapy compounds, within the cleanroom environment
• Ordering, receiving, and verifying drug shipments to maintain adequate stock levels
• Entering charges accurately and monitoring storage temperatures
• Performing daily cleanroom cleaning and following stringent safety protocols
• Supporting other pharmacy operations tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
• Proven experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings
• Competency with sterile compounding techniques and protocols
• Familiarity with the Pyxis automation system for medication management
