Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Richmond, TX (13-Week Contract)

Two openings available for detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a dedicated pharmacy team. These 13-week contract roles offer distinct shifts: one from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and another from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing flexibility depending on your preferred working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure precise medication dosages.
• Label and package medications appropriately for distribution.
• Identify, document, and report any medication-related incidents.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect and report any issues with pharmacy equipment.
• Maintain and log pharmacy temperature records and cleaning documentation.
• Support overall pharmacy organization and adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV Certification required for sterile compounding.
