Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Richmond, TX (13-Week Contract)
Two openings available for detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a dedicated pharmacy team. These 13-week contract roles offer distinct shifts: one from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and another from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing flexibility depending on your preferred working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure precise medication dosages.
- Label and package medications appropriately for distribution.
- Identify, document, and report any medication-related incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
- Inspect and report any issues with pharmacy equipment.
- Maintain and log pharmacy temperature records and cleaning documentation.
- Support overall pharmacy organization and adherence to compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- IV Certification required for sterile compounding.
