Retail Pharmacy Technician in Roanoke, VA

This opportunity involves working within a mail order pharmacy focused on redefining at-home chronic care management. The role requires a detail-oriented, quick-thinking Pharmacy Technician III who excels in a patient-centered environment.

Location:

• Roanoke, VA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Employment Type:

• Contract/Temporary (13 weeks)
• Immediate start available

Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting sig codes and processing prescription refills accurately
• Selecting appropriate products and preparing, labeling, and packaging medications for pharmacist approval
• Ensuring proper insurance adjudication by performing data entry, verifying insurance, and resolving rejections
• Managing inventory through cycle counts and handling returns efficiently
• Managing inbound and outbound patient calls as well as prescriber requests promptly and professionally
• Adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and internal protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or mail order setting
• Active VA Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
