IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician | Rochester, New York

Position Type:

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile medications in compliance with regulatory guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Accurately label, package, and dispense compounded medications
• Manage inventory and supply controls to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
• Maintain thorough documentation to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and clinical teams to support patient care
• Uphold pharmacy safety, hygiene, and quality standards through rigorous attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in good standing
• Proven sterile compounding experience in infusion, specialty, hospital, or IV pharmacy environments
• Strong record of accuracy with attention to detail and documentation integrity
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to follow strict SOPs and quality processes
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to patient safety and care
• Stable employment history with no significant gaps

Preferred Credentials:

• PTCB certification
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training/certification program
• Familiarity with home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or IV admixture preparation
• Experience in inventory control and medication fulfillment processes
