Pharmacy Technician - Rochester, NY

A Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician role is available in Rochester, NY, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This direct hire opportunity involves working with the CareTend system to support pharmacy operations in a home infusion setting.

Responsibilities include performing technical and clerical duties under pharmacist supervision such as preparing, labeling, packaging, and staging prescriptions. You will process prescription batches by entering accurate data, generating labels, pick lists, and shipping documentation. Coordination with intake, billing, and field teams is essential to confirm insurance authorization and ensure the accurate delivery of prescriptions. Managing inventory through receiving deliveries, returns, and outbound shipments, as well as conducting quality assurance activities to maintain a clean, organized, compliant pharmacy, are key components of the role. Participation in training and continuing education will support ongoing professional development.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• NY Pharmacy Technician License (required)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
• Minimum of two years experience in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality
